New Design

I know I haven't bloged for quite a while. I'm sooooooo busy with painting orders, and I'm behind on them too, which isn't good. I can only paint so fast though. This week I'm designing a set of Amish Canisters. This will be a brand new design available on my website. I've never painted anything in an Amish design, and so far so good! The customer also would like a set of S & P Shakers, and a Paper Towel Holder to match. This is going to keep me busy until the next set of paintings. I miss reading all your blogs, commenting on Facebook. I just haven't had the time to do it. Once I get caught up I'll stop by and say hello! I hope all is well with all of you! Take Care, ~Jody~

Busy, Busy, Busy!

Oh my gosh I've been sooo busy! I was sick for a while and got backed up on my work, so I've been missing in action for a while. But I'm back and feeling a whole lot better. Got caught up on most of my work, with the exception of my orders for my hand painted items. I plan on making a bunch of new stuff to add to the website which include 2 cabinets, a violin, a grease pot and more. This weekend I'm going to practice with my glazes on my ceramics. I'd really like for the ceramics I make to be dishwasher safe for my customers. So I need to practice! I have some new ceramic piece that I hope to show you next week. I've also been working on making more Terrye French Rubber stamps and should have some new ones done just in time for Christmas! You can view the stamps that Terrye French & I make here www.treasuredt.blogspot.com We've been adding some new items to our website too! Just in time for summer VHC Victorian Heart Company has a brand new product line "Woven Coverlets" and they are beautiful and perfect for summer time! Here's a photo of one of them.
I'll be back with something new soon! Thanks for stopping by to see me! ~Jody~

In Loving Memory Of My Dad

Today I'm remembering my dad, he was my step father, but in my eyes he was my DAD. He raised me like his own child from the age of 1. He was born August 20th 1936. He passed away on May 21st 2009, 3 years ago today from Cardiac Arrest & Coronary Artery disease. There wasn't one thing that my dad couldn't do. He was the most hardest working man that I've ever known. He lived a full life. In his younger years he was a miner for the Prospectors of "59 in the northern cascade mountains. He served in the army from 1959-1962. He was a private E1 (P) and a welder and blacksmith. He earned medals as a marksman (Rifle M-1 & Carbine). He worked at the Van Horn Mill in Everett Washington. He married my mother on November 17, 1966 and had 4 children. He worked for the Washington State Dept of Highways in Seattle, Washington. He was a logger for years. He had his own log trucking business and was a log truck driver. He could run any piece of equipment out there. My mother and him drove long haul trucks together for several years, all over the united states. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, and building a log home from scratch with my mom, he loved making things from wood and working with his hands. One of the things I will treasure all my life is the wooden wishing well he made for me for one of my Birthdays, it resides in my back yard. He loved working on motors and collecting all kinds of things. In his later years he enjoyed playing games on the computer, listening to sports on the radio while watching another sports game on tv, and going to the casino with my mom. He loved my moms cooking, especially her lemon mereign pie and home made bread. My dad dedicated his life to providing for his family. There's not a day that goes by that I don't think of you Dad! We love and miss you soooooo much! Thank you for being my dad!

Oooh So Busy With Photos

As summer approaches many of us are so busy with camping, BBQ's, fishing and all sorts of outings with family members. That holds true for us too. I've been busy with many things lately, which I will talk about one by one with photos. We've been working on our home for god knows how long now. We finished getting our kitchen cabinets, countertops and new appliances in. I still need to put new handles on my cupboards yet, but for the most part the kitchen and living room are done. When the handles are attached to the cabinets I will post photos. A couple of weeks ago we started on our only bathroom. This bathroom had all the updates from the 1970's. White tiny tile floor, oak vanity with a white plastic countertop, and old porcelain tub & shower surround. It was absolutely disqusting! And that's putting it mildly. Everytime I went into the bathroom I wanted to take a seldge hammer to the floor. You could never keep it clean. The toilet was so old it had rust everywhere on it or in it! So let the mess begin. We've taken down a couple of walls due to the way the last remodel was done. We have the new walls up, and the new tub and shower surround in. But what a dusty mess! Sanding down the putty for a smooth surface makes for a dusty mess. And there's more dust to come. It seems you can clean and clean and it still keeps coming. I will be SO GLAD WHEN THE DRY WALL PART OF IT IS DONE! Here's a photo of some of the work, that's my hubby doing the work himself.
Here's the new tub & shower, it's nothing fancy, but it's better than what we had.
I've also been spending time with my grand kids. It's been really nice and sunny here in Washington so when I'v had them we play outside. Here's some recent photos of the girls. Brailynn is two and Madilynn turned 9 months on Mothers Day.
I've been busy painting too. I just finished this canister for a customer. I just love how it turned out. It's a Jamie Mills-Price design. I will put it on my website soon.
I had unpublished my hand painted category on my website so I could catch up on orders. That didn't work to good, I was found on Facebook, lol. So I turned the pages back on and will continue to take orders. I'm so greatful and blessed that so many of you want my items in your homes. I feel bad that sometimes you have to wait for your items due to the backlog of orders I receive, but I'm only one person, and I can only paint so fast. So thank you all for waiting. The other day I received a phone call from one of those customers who had to wait. She told me that the items I painted for her we're well worth the wait, and that she loved them so much, and was surprised at how nice they were. That made me feel sooooooooo good! I will post a photo from her on my blog tomorrow of what I painted for her, and how they look in her home. One of the other reasons I had unpublished my hand painted category on my website was so I could make some new things and offer them once I got caught up on my website orders. Now that those pages are published again, I decided I'm just going to have to get up early in the morning and work on the new things for a couple of hours otherwise I won't get any new items made. So I'll be posting some new things soon & and their going to be really cute! I'm offering a new way to save money on products through my website. Everyday I send out a newsletter offering one item that has been marked down for the day. The only way to know what item I've marked down, is to receive my newsletter. You can sign up for my newsletters on my website. It's on the left hand side at the bottom. I do not rent or sell your email address to anwyone! This is only for you to be able to purchase my products at a discounted rate. Ok, this was a long post, sorry but had to catch ya up! Take Care ~Jody~

Easter Photos Of My Grand Kids

Hello everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful Easter! I have some photos for you of my grand kids. Easter was so much fun this year. My grand daughter is a little older this year (two). So, my daughter & I took the two babies to their first Easter egg hunt. We thought Brailynn would be ready for it, and she was. With a little direction from mom, she went for it, and picked up as many eggs as she could, and filled her basket to the top! Then she had some balloons made into a flower. Then we went home, and I watched the girls for a couple of hours so mamma could go shopping.
Brailynn also had her face painted, she opted for a bunny rabbit.
On Easter Sunday we all went down to the water front for some brunch. Then it was back to my house so Brailynn could have a Easter egg hunt here. So here's some photos of her and Madilynn at our home hunting for eggs, and playing with her items in her Easter basket. Notice all the hair pins in her hair, she had one in her hair when she arrived, but the Easter bunny put some in her Easter basket, and she wanted to where them all. lol
My grand kids bring so much joy into my life. I love being a grandma! I hope all of you had a wonderful Easter with your families! Take Care ~Jody~

Thank you for sticking with me, and hello to my new followers, thank you for following me! For the last month or so I've been painting orders off of my website www.adorablecountryclassics.com. Lots of orders came in for my Primitive Ceramic & Wood Kitchen Canisters, and some Salt & Pepper Shaker Sets, plus I've been working on new stamps, and I also have some custom orders to get done as well. So, busy, busy, busy! I had to unpublish my Hand Painted category off my website for a lttle while until I can get all caught up & make some new things that I've wanted to get done. I will let you all know when I've published the pages and added new items. Onto what I wanted to share with you today. This is a phot0 that one of my customers sent me of her Primitive Fireplace Screen that I painted for her last year. Thank you Traci for sharing your photo! It looks amazing in your home! This was painted on both sides. One side with a winter scene and one side with an every day scene.

Exciting News!

I have some very exciting news to tell you all. A day after I opened my rubber stamp company "Treasured Times Rubber Stamps & Scrapbooking", my stamps went international! Let me just say I was a little more than excited! The first country they're going to is Italy. Franca Marzi is going to sell my stamps at her retail store and on her website. I am so grateful to Terrye French for allowing me to share her designs this way. Thank you Terrye! I'd also like to thank Franca for her interest in my stamps! Thank you Franca! Here's the link to Francas website http://www.piccolepassioni.it/ This last week I've been working on images, and making more stamps. I have more products that I will be adding to that website over the weekend. I also have another tutorial on the way! Have a great weekend everyone! ~Jody~

New Hand Painted Items

Hello everyone! How's everyone doing? I've been fine, just super busy! I know I haven't posted any new paintings in a long time, it seems I'm short on time. So I decided today, that I better post them, or they will never get posted. Most of these were done before Christmas last year, with the exception of the last canister. That one I just finished for a customer.
As of this week I'm painting orders off my website. That will keep me busy painting for a while. Normally, at the beggining of the year I post what new items I'm going to be making for the year. This time I made a list, and didn't post it. I will see how much of the list I get to accomplish this year. I have plans to blog hop this weekend, now that I have my log in issues with Google fixed, finally! See ya soon! Take Care, ~Jody~

Birdhouse Toilet Paper Holder in Sunflowers & Blue Birds.

This was a custom order I did for a customer this last Christmas. I had alot of fun designing and painting this piece for her! Thank you Patricia! I painted the background in white so the design would stand out. The top piece has a painted hole and branch. The design in painted on all four sides. I think it turned out pretty nice!
I will have another post next week, on a couple of new winter designs, that I painted last year and wasn't able to add them at that time.
Brenda & Angie, thank you for your comments on my last post!  I'm bound and determined to get the problem fixed this weekend! Brenda, no the problems not on my kindle, it's on my laptop that I use 100% of the time. I hope you get your problem fixed too! It's so frustrating sometimes! Cross your fingers! Have a fantastic weekend everyone! ~Jody~

Happy New Year Everyone! New Grandbaby Photos

Hi All! How has everyone been? Boy have I been missing in action! Had to go see when I posted last. I hope you all had wonderful holidays! Today I have some recent pictures of our granddaughters. Little Boo Boo (Brailynn) is now 2! I can hardly believe she's two already! She's getting so big, and does alot of talking. She likes to paint when she comes to visit us (go figure, taking after Grandma) so for Christmas we got her a little art table with stools and paints of course. She loves it! She also likes to play mommy with her sister so we also got her a baby alive doll to save her mother! lol Here's Brailynn Christmas day.
This is Maddy (I call her sissy, got that from Brailynn, cause that's what she calls her) on Christmas day. Maddy is 5 months old, growing like a weed, she's laughing and holding her bottle now. They both are just so cute!
I've been reading all your blogs, but I can't comment. Here's the problem. When I got my new phone I signed up for a gmail account so I could receive my emails while I was away. Well when I did that it did something to my google account and it won't let me make comments on others blogs. I've tried to fix it and haven't been able to. If any of you know how to fix the problem, would you please tell me so I can make comments on your blog. I really enjoy blog hopping and love talking to you all! Thank you! I've taken a couple weeks off from painting, I really needed to recharge my batteries! I will be back painting starting this coming Monday the 9th.  I will be posting regular again, now that the holidays are over. I have a few projects that I finished before Christmas that haven't been shown or added to the website, so those will be posted soon. I ran behind this year big time! So, I hope you all are doing well! I will talk to you again soon.  Happy New Year Everyone! ~Jody~
