Hello Blogging Friends! Here is my new Primitive Bread Box I've finished this week, and a description of how I've painted it. This Primitive Bread Box has been painted black in a distressed manner. The edges have been sanded for a time worn look. This has been sanded and is very soft and smooth. I've painted the insert on the front with a rustic red saltbox house nestled on a grassy hill with some sheep, two willow trees & and an American flag. I've painted the words "Simple Keepings" above the design. The door of the Bread Box has been designed with twiggy vines, leaves, red & white pip berries, & black primitive stars. I've attached a vintage looking knob that has an engraved leaf pattern on it. The sides have two sheep standing on a grassy hill with a willow tree at the bottom. The top has twiggy vines, leaves & red & white pip berries. The very top of the Bread Box has the words "Simple Keepings" and two Primitive Stars. The inside is painted black. The insert is interchangeable so you can display different paintings throughout the year. Rubber feet are attached to bottom to prevent sliding. This Primitive Bread Box will hold 2 long loaves of bread plus dinner rolls! It measures 12" Tall x 16" Wide x 10" Deep at the bottom. A little narrower at the top. It is made of wood. You can have this painted in any way you like for the same price-tell me what you would like in the (Customized By You ) box. Here are some photos of the finished product & a direct link to the Primitive Bread Box. http://www.adorablecountryclassics.com/store/WsDefault.asp?One=701
This is a photo of the insert out. I wanted to show you this so you can see that it can come out and be turned over so you can display another painting on the other side. This is so cool because you can have me paint a different painting, one for each season! Wouldn't that be neat! You wouldn't have to stare at the same old painting every day! Have a good week everyone! ~Jody~

Americana Candle Holders
Well you know I got to searching the internet looking around for Americana items, specifically Americana Candle Holders, and I sure didn't find very much. But boy did my brain go crazy with all kinds of ideas! Ya know sometimes my brain takes a break and I can't think of things to make, and then all of a sudden it's like a tidle wave, it all comes flooding in! lol
So any way I thought I'd mention these Americana Candle Holders I make. They are a nice decorative way to dress up your kitchen table. Just put a set of tapers in these and your all set.
They were first painted a tan color, then I painted some some twiggy vines & leaves on the front. (If you would like the vines & leaves on both sides I can do that for you for the same price). One heart has red & white stripes on the sides. The other heart has blue sides with white stars. Each one measures 4" Tall x 4" Wide x 2" Thick. A Jamie Mills-Price design. You can find these on my site. Here is the link.

New Product Added - Custom Ordering
Good Monday Morning to you all! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! And to all you mothers out there I hope you all had a wonderful Mothers Day! My Mothers Day was great! I spent it with my Daughter & her family.
Today I wanted to touch upon Custom Ordering a little bit. This is a perfect example of a custom order, and I wanted to show it to you. I do alot of custom orders. And as I've said before, custom orders can be ANYTHING. Alot of items on my site have a Customized By You Box below each item. What does that mean? It means you can order that item and have it made in any Size, Shape, and Painted any way you like!
Say you don't like it done in the crackled Trail Tan over Black. Maybe you want it crackled Ivory over Black instead, or maybe just a solid black. Or maybe you don't like the red house, you'd rather have a blue house. Say you don't like sheep, you like cows instead. And then there's the American Flag issue. Now I have customers in Canada! To my customers in Canada, I can paint you a Canadian Flag instead! Don't be shy in asking! I'd be happy to do that for you! Maybe you like a particular product but don't like the shape of it, because it won't function the way you need it too, we can change it so it will function so it will work for you. There is also constant contact through email if there are any questions I have for you. When Im finished with your order, I send you up to 3 or 4 photos of your finished product for review before shipping. I then package up your product for total weight & price. I can give you an estimate once you give me an idea of what you want at the begining. But the total we won't know until it is done and ready to be shipped.
I can make any of my products match your existing decor! That is the best part about purchasing My Products!
All you have to do is fill in the Customized By You Box, Tell me what you want in that box when purchasing that item. If I have any questions at all, I will call you. It's really easy!
If you have any questions about Custom Orders please feel free to contact me, I'd be happy to answer any of your questions.
Here's the Custom Primitive Mail Holder that I made for a customer in New York, Thank you Cheryl!
She first gave me the dimensions she wanted, 12" Tall in back, x 10" Wide" x 8" Deep x 6" Tall in the Front. It has 4 Sections. It was painted black in a distressed manner. I've painted a rustic red saltbox house, two primitive sheep, a primitive willow tree, all nestled on a grassy hill. Both ends have been painted with two sheep, a willow tree, nestled on a grassy hill. I've also painted a primitive star on the top back corner to add a primitive touch to it. The edges of this holder have been sanded to give it a time worn look. This primitive mail holder has been sanded for a nice smooth finish. I did add this to my site, you can find it under the primitive category in the Hand Painted By Me. Have a good week everyone! ~Jody~

A Lady Worth A Mention
Hello everyone!
I met a very nice lady the other day. Somehow she found my Etsy store, I'm not sure how, but she did. She decided to do a mention about it on her blog. She spoke a little about me and my work and added a little link to my Etsy store for her followers to check out.
I don't nearly have the followers as she has but you gals need to go check out her Etsy store as well. She makes very nice baskets, they are beautiful! Her name is Rose. She has been weaving baskets since 1993. She sells at the Sunday Artisian Market in Ann Arbor and at other shows. Her Etsy store link is: http://www.etsy.com/shop/basketsbyrose
Her website link: http://www.basketsbyrose.com/
And you can follow her blog by visiting her here: http://basketsbyrosebasketsbyrose.blogspot.com/
